At Dartford Road Dental Centre, as well as offering a full range of cosmetic, general and orthodontic dental treatments to our adult patients we also offer a comprehensive, private dental service to our younger patients and always recommend bringing children in to see us from an early age, so that they can get used to the sights and smells of Dartford Road Dental Centre!

When looking after your child’s teeth, prevention is better than cure, so it is advisable for your child to attend our practice regularly for check ups so that any dental issues are identified and rectified early. We offer preventative treatments such as Fissure Sealants to help protect the surfaces of your child’s teeth, your Child’s Dentist will advise you if they feel this is something your child will benefit from.

Encouraging your child to eat healthily, opting for foods, snacks and drinks with no added sugar, is a great way to educate them about the importance of dental health for both their baby and permanent teeth. Inspiring great routines with toothbrushing from an early age, will also help your child to accept oral health care into their daily routine. There are many downloadable toothbrushing sticker charts available online to help offer small rewards for your child’s toothbrushing efforts.

Overcrowding can be a cause for concern with a child’s teeth as this can make some surfaces of the teeth difficult to clean. We are lucky to have the wonderful Dr Hardwick, our specialist orthodontist on hand to provide orthodontic treatment to adults and children alike, to ensure your/your child’s teeth are straighter and easier to keep clean and healthy.
