 Let us introduce you to our amazing Dentist – Dr Tosin Ogidan!

Where did Tosin Study Dentistry? 

Tosin started her Dentistry education in 2011 at the University of Birmingham and graduated in 2016.

After working for several years in the Essex and Kent region, Tosin joined our Dartford Road Dental Centre family in January 2023.

What is her favourite part of being a Dentist?

Tosin enjoys the variety that comes with being a general practitioner and the fact that she gets to connect with a wide range of people every day, which is well-suited to her bubbly and friendly personality.

What dental procedures does Tosin enjoy the most?

Tosin has particularly enjoyed the positive impact aesthetic and restorative dentistry can have on her patients. She therefore chose to build on her clinical skills through further study and has developed a love for creating natural, beautiful smiles using tools such as Invisalign and whitening.

Does Tosin treat nervous patients?

Yes! Tosin always puts her patients’ best interests first with her calm and caring nature. She makes many patients feel at ease in our dental chair. This combined with her gentle demeanor and keen eye for detail allows her to consistently provide high-quality treatment. She believes it is important for every patient to be involved in the planning process so treatment is well-tailored to each individual’s personal needs and preferences.

Lets get personal, What does Tosin enjoy doing in her spare time outside of Dartford Road Dental Centre?

When she’s not at work, Tosin enjoys spending time with friends, family and her Husband. She also loves to keep fit at the gym and, when the weather is nice, she enjoys roller skating outdoors.

Tosin also loves music and plays the piano and alto saxophone.

I was pretty nervous about how he would respond, but I needn’t have worried, it was a positive experience all-round.

Health tips and advise from Tosin

• Spit don’t rinse! After brushing your teeth with fluoride toothpaste, don’t rinse with water. This prolongs the fluoride on your tooth enamel surface
• Brush twice per day – the most important time being just before bed
• Use floss or interdental brushes daily
• Keep snacks to a minimum and enjoy sweet treats at meal times
