Today is a momentous day at Dartford Road Dental Centre as we proudly celebrate an incredible 20 years of service from our Head Nurse, Bev — a woman whose warmth, dedication, and extraordinary talent have left an indelible mark on everyone she meets.

Bev has been with us through thick and thin, becoming not only a cornerstone of our long-established private dental practice here in Dartford but also a constant source of comfort and care for patients and colleagues alike.

She is, without a doubt, the glue that holds our team together — always buzzing around the practice, offering a helping hand, a word of encouragement, or her famously infectious laugh that can brighten even the coldest winter morning.

Top-notch Patient Care

From her early days at the practice, as a trainee Dental Nurse to her current role as Head Nurse, Bev has consistently gone above and beyond.  She has continuously built on her professional knowledge and clinical skills, setting a high standard of care and professionalism. But what truly sets Bev apart is her genuine compassion and natural ability to make patients feel at ease — no matter how anxious they might be.

In fact, patients often specifically request Bev’s “professional hand-holding” services, whether they are in for a treatment or just a routine check-up.  It’s become something of a signature touch here at the practice — that comforting presence, reassuring voice, and steady hand that help make even the most daunting appointments manageable.

Advocate for Dental Nursing as  Career

Coming to the long-established Dartford Road Dental Centre, from a previous career in retail, Bev is an example of how to change your career path and find your place in the  world.  Bev LOVES being a Dental Nurse and will actively encourage anyone else thinking of joining the profession, to give it a go!  She has mentioned over  the years, how rewarding it is to see the look on a patient’s face after they finish a course of treatment, that has given them the WOW factor! Many Talents!

While she’s most at home in the surgery, Bev is truly a woman of many talents.  You’ll find her everywhere — assisting with treatments, ensuring our nursing compliance standards are top-notch, mentoring junior team members, or simply spreading her trademark warmth and laughter throughout the practice.

She is the kind of team player that every workplace dreams of, we count ourselves extremely lucky to have her leading the nurses from the front.

Bev’s contribution over the past two decades has helped shape Dartford Road Dental Centre into the welcoming, professional, and compassionate practice it is today. Her loyalty, humour inspire us all.

So today, we raise a cheer to Bev’s 20 years of unwavering service, for every patient she’s comforted, every colleague she’s supported, and every smile she’s helped create.
